Landscapes inspired by the mountains of North Carolina, often focused on memories and feelings captured by geographical surroundings. Janet’s simplified but bold contemporary imagery is frequently imagined as well as inspired by her previous paintings and elemental drawings. Rich textures and softly blended hues bring forth a meditative stillness that aims to invoke an emotional response on the viewer.
